Last week Monitor Group, the strategy consulting firm founded by a group of Harvard Business School professors, most notably Michael Porter, filed for bankruptcy protection. The firm’s reputation took a hit last winter when it was revealed that they completed an engagement for ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, helping him bolster his international image. Their assets will be absorbed by Deloitte Consulting and its various affiliates throughout the world, adding talent and client relationships into Deloitte’s rapidly growing strategy and operations practice.
